Description
This is a portrait of jazz musician, Chesney Henry "Chet" Baker, Jr. (December 23, 1929 - May 13, 1988) who was an American trumpeter, flugelhorn player and singer. Although the great trumpet musician suffered from the disease of addiction and most of its devastating consequences, Baker performed brilliantly. I still enjoy listening to his velvety smooth trumpet solos, despite his life and career of cataclysmic self-destruction. "Chet Baker in Birdland" is a digital painting and photo composite created in Spadecaller's Florida Studio.
